This class expresses the phenomenon of association of one or more 'things', that is non-acting persistent items, with an event in which they are physically or intentionally present, and associates a social quality that describes the role of the associated entity. It also makes it possible to provide qualities that characterise the associated thing in the context of the event.

The associated thigs can be humans but they are then the object and not the subject of the involvement, like in the case of slave trade.
